1、 High processing accuracy
Some small and medium-sized through holes have a cylindricity of up to 0.001mm. Some parts with uneven wall thickness, such as connecting rods, can achieve a roundness of 0.002mm. For large holes, the roundness can also reach 0.005mm. If there are no ring grooves or radial holes, it is also possible to achieve a straightness of less than 0.01mm/1m. Honing has higher machining accuracy than grinding because the bearings supporting the grinding wheel are located outside the honing hole during grinding, which can cause deviation and result in poor machining accuracy for small holes. Honing can generally only improve the shape accuracy of the machined part. To improve the positional accuracy of the part, some necessary measures need to be taken. 2、 Good surface quality

Therefore, during honing, the heat generation of the workpiece is very small, and there is almost no thermal damage or deterioration layer on the surface of the workpiece, resulting in small deformation. The honing surface has almost no embedded sand or extruded hard layer.
3、 Wide processing range
Mainly processing various cylindrical holes: through holes, holes with axial and radial discontinuities, such as radial holes or slots, keyhole holes, keyway holes, blind holes, multi-step holes, etc. In addition, using a dedicated honing head can also process conical holes, elliptical holes, etc., but due to the complex structure of the honing head, it is generally not used. The cylindrical body can be honed using an external honing tool, but the amount of clearance removed is much smaller than that of internal honing. Honing can process any material, and the application of diamond and cubic boron nitride abrasives further expands the application field of honing and greatly improves the efficiency of honing processing.
4、 Less cutting allowance
To achieve the required accuracy on the drawing, honing is one of the machining methods with minimal removal of allowances. In honing processing, honing tools use the workpiece as a guide to cut off excess space and achieve the required accuracy of the workpiece. When honing, the honing tool first grinds the parts of the workpiece that require a large amount of clearance, and then gradually grinds to the parts that require less clearance.
5、 Strong ability to correct holes
Due to deficiencies in various other processing techniques, some processing defects may occur during the manufacturing process.
